Brief Summary: For this project, Stupp Bridge Company fabricated approximately 6,900 tons of steel for the US68/KY80 bridge over Lake Barkley. The bridge’s plate girder spans, supplied by Stupp Bridge, total over 3000 feet in length. The plate girders are over 8’ deep and utilized 50W steel that was fully primed in the shop.

Brief Summary: For this design build project, Stupp Bridge Company fabricated 4000 tons of steel for US 69 over the Missouri River from Platte Co., MO to Wyandotte Co., KS. The main span is 420' long and the web depths vary from 10' to 12' deep haunched and parallel flange plate girders. This bridge utilized partially painted Grade HPS70W and 50W steel.
The Ohio River Bridges Project, Downtown, Section(s) 1, 2 & 3

Brief Summary: For this multi-year design-build project, Stupp Bridge Company fabricated 20+ bridges weighing a combined 15,000+ tons. Stupp Bridge Company’s scope of work for this project included the welded plate girder approaches to the new Downtown Ohio River Crossing as well as many curved plate girder bridges for ramps, interchanges and overpasses. The largest bridge weighed more than 3800 tons and the smallest bridge weighed less than 40 tons. All of the steel was shop painted with a coat of inorganic zinc primer.
