Brief Summary: For this multi-year design-build project, Stupp Bridge Company fabricated 20+ bridges weighing a combined 15,000+ tons. Stupp Bridge Company’s scope of work for this project included the welded plate girder approaches to the new Downtown Ohio River Crossing as well as many curved plate girder bridges for ramps, interchanges and overpasses. The largest bridge weighed more than 3800 tons and the smallest bridge weighed less than 40 tons. All of the steel was shop painted with a coat of inorganic zinc primer.
